Dr. Kim Peace-Tuskey
Dr. Kim Peace-Tuskey is a Doctor of Public Health and a master-level social worker with expertise in health sciences, program quality, and evidence-based health promotion. She currently serves as an adjunct faculty member in the School of Social Work at the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions at Arizona State University and in the Zuckerman College of Public Health at the University of Arizona.
Dr. Peace-Tuskey brings more than 20 years of experience across public and private sectors, with a professional background spanning child and family services, counseling, public health programming, nonprofit leadership, and higher education. Her work integrates social science analysis with applied research and program evaluation to strengthen health systems, improve service delivery, and promote measurable outcomes that support improved health and wellness across populations.
Her expertise includes the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of high-quality programs grounded in data-driven decision-making. She has contributed to a wide range of research and applied initiatives, including the Community Women’s Well-Being Study, CoVHORT Child and Teen Study (CATS), Teen Interactions and Relationship Health Study, the Arizona PS-MAPP Initiative, Thrive in ’05, and Best for Babies. Across these efforts, she has focused on access to healthcare, assessing program effectiveness, and advancing strategies that support health for all through scalable, sustainable approaches.
Dr. Peace-Tuskey’s research examines factors influencing health outcomes, including access to services, behavioral health patterns, environmental conditions, and the physiological impacts of stress. She applies a strengths-informed and systems-oriented perspective to develop and evaluate programs that enhance service quality, expand access, and promote overall population health and well-being.
She has published in peer-reviewed journals such as Frontiers in Public Health, Journal of Adolescent Health, Journal of Interpersonal Violence, Health Promotion Practice, and others. Dr. Peace-Tuskey regularly presents her work at national conferences, professional forums, and academic settings, and is committed to mentoring the next generation of public health and social science professionals. Her career is dedicated to advancing effective programs, strengthening policy and practice, and promoting improved health and wellness outcomes for all populations.
